Friday
- Arrival early participants.
- Buffet at 17.30 hrs in De Vlijt.
- EHTX open until 19.00 local time. If you can’t make it before 19.00 LT, please contact the tower: info@texelairport.nl.
- Rental bikes are available. If you want a tandem or E-bike please make your reservation by email info@texelairport.nl.
- Stay overnight ‘under the wing’ or book your own accommodation at Texel.
Saturday
- Arrival participants.
- Visit Aviation & Warmuseum Texel.
- At 17.30 hrs buffet dinner in De Vlijt, see also here.
- EHTX open until 19.00 local time. If you can’t make it before 19.00 LT, please contact the tower: info@texelairport.nl.
- Explore Texel by (hire)bike:
- Visit to Ecomare in De Koog.
- Het Juttersmuseum Flora between De Koog and Den Burg.
- Kaap Skil in Oudeschild.
- Playing golf at the 18 holes golfbaan ”De Texelse”
- Enjoy the view from the lighthouse of Texel.
- Visit Texel Zoo with show of birds and prey.
- Hugging with lambs.
- Or cycling around the island, through the woods and dunes.
- Eat some fish at the Texel yacht and fishing boat harbour at Oudeschild.
- Seal tour Waddensea.
- Day at the sandy beach.
- Stay overnight ‘under the wing’ or book your own accommodation at Texel.
Sunday
- Leaving Texel… or stay longer. EHTX open from 10.00 hrs local time.
English version: De Cocksdorp (Texel) – On the 27th of August 2022 it’s time for the 14th edition of the famous Texel”Wings over Holland” Fly-in at Texel international Airport (EHTX). The biggest Fly-in in the Netherlands! If the flying conditions are good, we normally do expect 200 to 250 visiting aircraft over the whole weekend. All aircraft are most welcome!
Purpose
The main purpose of the Fly-in is normally to bring aviation minded people together and to share their knowledge, experience and passion. Last but not least, it’s a perfect weekend to make new friendships. Enjoy the airport and the island.
Programm
Fly to Texel Airport on Friday and remain on the island for the weekend. ‘Camp under the wing’ or book an accommodation by yourself. We have a lot of hotels and cosy B&B at the island. Or book a nice room is our hotel at the airport De Vlijt. You can also book direct via 0031 222 311 233. You can have dinner in the airportrestaurant on Friday.
Camping under the wing is allowed!
Main day of the Fly-in is the Saturday. “Day visitors” with any type of aircraft are more than welcome! We have interesting aviation people and an airfair with our sponsors.
Between 14.00 and 14.30 hrs there are two demonstrations by the T6 of Wings over Holland and Frank “Woody” van Houten in hus Sukhoi.

In the evening we serve dinner on our the terrace of the airport restaurant De Vlijt.
On Sunday you can see aircraft taking off and landing on the smooth grass runway and watch the skydivers coming down. Or just explore the island by rental bike. You can leave whenever you want or…just stay longer!
